Region/Wine Appellation: Carinena D.O. Spain.
Vineyard Location (Village): Cariņena.
Elevation: 400-500m.
Grapes: 100% Garnacha.
Alcohol: 13% by Vol.
Vine Age: Bush vines 40 years old.
Soil: Pebbles and limestone soils.
Vinification: Picked in the early morning to preserve the freshness and quality of the grapes. After 8 hours of skin contact at 46-50°F, the free run juice is then fermented. This slow fermentation, at no more than 59°F, once again protects the freshness and fruit quality of the wine.
Ageing: No ageing.
Tasting notes: "The 2009 Beso de Vino Garnacha Rosado is a savory, just off-dry Rose with scents of mineral, cherry, and raspberry. It has plenty of flavor and a refreshing finish. It is an ideal picnic wine. Grandes Vinos y Vinedos' collection is replete with stunning values".
